“Clap!” is an audiovisual writing tool that enables primary school children to make themed films about their daily lives and culture. Off-line platform, it can be used on smartphone or tablet, equipping classrooms with a new fun and educational tool<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In practice, students produce themed videos, pre-composed into narrative blocks, directly from the platform that guides them through the creative process, removing the technical constraints of editing and scripting. These will be recorded on their smartphone\/tablet, and can be used for group work supervised by the teacher. <\/p>\n

The video reports produced will address themes centered on culture as experienced by the children themselves: gastronomy, dances, traditions, architecture, visual arts… Initially, 5 cultural themes will be proposed (“Our school”, “Our games”, “Our food”, “Our nature”, “Our songs”), with classes free to create their own theme. This culture at children’s level is a medium for exchange that motivates and unites pupils from the same class around a common project.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Cultural themes provide an opportunity to take a step back and look at social and identity-related issues, and thus to deepen fundamental learning skills, first and foremost writing. By producing video reports, students reappropriate these issues by questioning themselves and developing their own thinking. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

“Clap!” uses the younger generation’s interest in video creation to unite them around a common class project. The platform is a pedagogical support that promotes the acquisition of skills: <\/p>\n

  • Schoolchildren:<\/strong> video reports produced in class are cross-curricular, giving meaning to the fundamentals and facilitating learning; <\/li>\n
  • Social:<\/strong> students develop their ability to work as part of a team, their communication skills, their oral fluency, their writing skills (particularly audiovisual) and their self-confidence; <\/li>\n
