A dynamic Basque-speaking rural school<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The school is part of the ETCHECOPAR-ERRECART school complex, which includes a middle school and a high school. ETCHECOPAR is a Catholic school with 121 pupils to date.<\/p>\n

The teaching team is made up of a head teacher, 9 teachers and 3 nursery assistants. It’s a dynamic, family-run school with a wide range of projects, as well as an immersive section in the Basque regional language from PS to GS, followed by a bilingual section with equal hours from CP to CM2. From the age of 2, whether in a bilingual Basque or French school, all children benefit from English classes.<\/p>\n

The school is located in a rural area, but benefits from sports and cultural facilities within walking distance of the school: media library, auditorium, cinema, multi-sports hall, soccer and rugby pitches, swimming pool.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The multi-disciplinary projects set up within the school’s classes are designed to encourage motivation, involvement and interest in learning. The projects carried out at the school are diverse, ranging from literary projects in partnership with the Saint-Palais media library to a national digital project to write a story with several hands.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Based on the principle of welcoming all, the teachers’ daily work and projects aim to exclude no-one. Beyond social mix, we find a mix of children’s profiles within the establishment. The desire and vocation to welcome <\/span>of all students, including those with special educational needs, requires the introduction of pedagogical <\/span>and approaches that enable everyone to pursue a fulfilling education.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Environmental education<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Raising students’ awareness of eco-responsible attitudes is a priority for these teachers. This is achieved through various actions carried out this year within the school or their classes: raising awareness of sustainable development and environmental preservation through actions such as “Clean up Nature”, “Taste Week” (zero waste snacks), etc.<\/p>\n

Finally, the implementation of innovative teaching practices (cooperative or flexible, for example) is part of their daily routine.
